Family news!

I’ve had a few meetings to attend lately, which isn’t exactly the norm for a stay at home mom. Why all the meetings? Because I’m putting my teacher hat back on in the fall! I’m SO excited to be teaching 9th and 10th grade literature at a local academy for homeschoolers! As of right now, I have 15 students in each class and we’ll meet on Mondays and Thursdays. Since we only see each other twice a week, this means that I only teach for 6 hours per week! Perfect deal for a mom who doesn’t want to leave her babes, but wants to dip her toes into the waters of the teaching world again!

There are several perks to having an additional (albeit small) paycheck in our house, but the most exciting to me is that it means that Kate and Drew will get to go to preschool in the fall! They’ll get to go 2 days a week and they are so, so excited! This will mean a lot of change in our currently somewhat schedule-less life, but I’m really looking forward to some more structure, time with my man (he’s home on preschool mornings), new experiences for Kate and Drew, and a glimpse back into the life of an English teacher!

I’ll go ahead and request your prayers as I figure out a new balance in our lives with blogging, exercising, teaching, family time, etc.! Being a wife and being Mom are the most important jobs in my life and there’s no room to falter at either!
